Pedro Marques
Partner at FSO Consultores since 2016.
Degree in Economics from ‘Faculdade de Economia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa’. Arbitrator of the Tax Arbitration Tribunal of the Arbitration Administrative Centre (‘CAAD’).
At FSO Consultores Pedro Marques is responsible for the tax support to Banking and Investment Funds industries.
Pedro Marques was an invited Teacher of the Post-Graduation in Taxation at ‘Overgest – ISCTE’ and lecturer of the Advanced Post-Graduation in Tax Law at ‘IDEFF’.
Pedro Marques started his career in the Capital Markets area of ‘Banco Finantia’, and in 1995 he joined the tax division of one of the Big Four, being appointed Partner in charge for the Banking, Insurance and Asset Management industries in July 2004. In 2008, he joined another Big Four, being responsible for the same areas, both in Portugal and Angola.
Throughout a professional career dedicated to the rendering of tax consulting services to the financial sector, Pedro Marques has more than two decades of experience in advising Portuguese and international financial entities, to whom he has been supplying not only regular tax assistance, but also tax structuring in M&A operations, tax due diligence works, risk analysis studies related with transfer pricing issues, tax structuring of real estate and non performing loans vehicles and setup of solutions regarding the new compliance rules on the automatic exchange of information (FATCA and CRS).
